Showcasing the musical talents of young Filipino musicians, the Lasallian Youth Orchestra (LYO), the official orchestra of De La Salle University, presents this year’s annual concert “Forte 2022: An Enchanting Journey of Songs & Symphonies” with thrilling performances that spark the power of imagination. The concert will take place on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 via AnimoSpace and Ticket2Me.
Known to be the annual premier event of LYO, Forte 2022 aims to deliver captivating performances for viewers to be enthralled in the comfort of their own homes. For this year’s theme, the orchestra explores tracks and pieces that represent the otherworldly nature of the fantasy and adventure genres. The two-hour long production features various performances from soloists, group recitalists, and the orchestra.
Experience a realm of harmony and magical wonders
Through a diverse collection of songs, medleys, and symphonies, LYO aspires to tap the inner emotions of the audience and to immerse themselves on an enchanted journey filled with nostalgia and serenity. They intend to incorporate melodic tracks and renditions that encapsulate the boundless ambitions of heroic tales, grand adventures, and fictitious worlds.
The concert will feature musical pieces from esteemed classical music icons Johann Sebastian Bach, Fritz Kreisler, Oskar Rieding, Ferdinand Küchler, Edvard Grieg, and Gioachino Rossini, and many more.
Various tracks from selected OSTs were curated; among those picked include the well-known Filipino song “Bituing Walang Ningning” by the megastar Sharon Cuneta, from the hit movie of the same name. In addition, a number of tracks from the OST of the popular role-playing game Genshin Impact, will be having its own rendition to be performed by chosen members of the orchestra—raising anticipation towards the event.
Attempting to further evoke feelings of nostalgia, LYO revealed that the setlist also features a number of music compositions from the OSTs of animated films worked on by Studio Ghibli—an award-winning Japanese animation studio. Music from renowned films such as Spirited Away, Ponyo, My Neighbor Totoro, and Howl’s Moving Castle are among those that were hinted at by LYO.
With music flooding the air, guests can take a break from tiring realities and enjoy exhilarating performances, transporting them into their own magical worlds driven by positivity and limitless possibilities.

Tickets are priced at ₱150 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the organization’s chosen beneficiary.
