De La Salle Philippines (DLSP) welcomed Mr. Robert Tang as the newly appointed DLSP Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Central House Administration (CHA) Director on Sept. 1. 

For the past six years, Mr. Tang served the Benildean community as the College’s Chancellor and a full-time faculty member of the Human Resource Management Program of the College.

He also achieved significant accomplishments for Benilde in his service in the College, such as the establishment of Benilde Antipolo. Mr. Tang led the integration of the Tertiary Education Unit of La Salle College Antipolo with De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in 2015. 

Along with his team, he also worked to elevate the role of the Human Resources, now known as the College’s People and Organizational Development Office (PODO). Benilde also advanced through reorganization and continuous process improvement which opened the door for the College to give emphasis to the importance of technology and establish the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Digital Technology.

Furthermore, according to the College’s official website, it is under Mr. Tang's leadership that the College was able to push through with the opening of Senior High School.

In an email announcement, Mr. Edgar O. Chua, President of De La Salle Philippines (DLSP), said, “We are excited for him [Tang] to bring his expertise to the Central House.”

Former Vice Chancellor for Administration, Mr. Benhur Ong, is the new Chancellor of Benilde.
