The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Pep Squad stepped their game up and nabbed the sixth spot with 184 points, three points more than last year, in the NCAA Season 100 Cheerleading Competition on May 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.

Right off the bat, the Taft squad came swinging with their exhilarating performance. As the first in line, they showcased their strength with succeeding single-base stunts and well-executed jumps. The team finished off by executing clean pyramids and spotless one-man stunts dismounted through a twist cradle. The heightened difficulty is a testament to the Blazers’ evolution from their previous performances.

Despite the errors of the green and white squad, the cleanliness of their entire presentation shone through. The Benilde squad’s improvement in partner stunts and overall execution signified the Blazers’ worthiness of an improved score from 181 points in the previous season to a total of 184 in the centennial competition.

On the other hand, the Arellano University (AU) Chief Squad claimed the championship title and achieved the unimaginable—clinching a six-peat win. Through their mind-blowing group stunts and irreplicable pyramids, the team also claimed the Php 100,000.00 cash prize.

Additionally, for the third year in a row, the rest of the podium consists of University of Perpetual Help System-Dalta (UPHSD) Altas Perpsquad and the Colegio De San Juan De Letran (CSJL) Cheering Squad, earning second and third, respectively. The prizes for the other podium finishers are Php 75,000.00 and Php 50,000.00
