Mark your calendars this coming March 12 to 15, for the Philippine Book Festival (PBF) is making Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall, its home for four days! As the wait gets shorter, the literary event’s social media pages have been actively sharing all the exciting experiences that are sure to leave attendees eager for what is to come!

Though a full itinerary is not out yet—especially for those looking forward to signings and workshops—this year emphasizes even more homegrown books to grab and a bigger celebration for our Filipino authors. As evident in their four-year (and hopefully longer) run, PBF always has something for everyone.

A look back on the local voices

On their social media pages, the National Book Development Board continues to spotlight Filipino creatives.  PBF 2025 had talks and seminars from notable figures in the illustration scene, such as Danielle Florendo, Juno Abreu, Paul Eric Roca, and Pepot Atienza—giving artists advice on owning their creativity and advocating for their art. Diverse narratives from authors Edgar Calabia Samar, Mina V. Esguerra, and Randy Valiente also rallied writers to explore different themes and approaches to composing a story that is truly theirs.

PBF has long held space for compelling experiences of Philippine literature, ranging from writing to drawing, from cultural histories to the contemporary scene and this year, the organization promises even more heartfelt, inspiring messages.

More, more, more to come

With 107 exhibitors announced, PBF 2026 assures that your bookshelves will be duly filled! Familiar and returning names such as beloved author Ricky Lee, famed Anino Comics, Anvil Publishing, and Lampara Publishing House Inc, will take their spots and share new and adored titles with both new and frequent readers.

Academic exhibitors like Golden Books Services Inc. and The University of the Philippines Press will cater  to students and lifelong learners alike with educational books at their fingertips. Collective stands, namely Lolakwentosera Book Publishing and Yakal St Moving Co., among others, come round out this very diverse line-up.

Among fleeting conversations with fellow book lovers to listening to famous authors speak truths on literary culture, the Philippine Book Festival is a place where Philippine literature can shine at its brightest.

With admissions still free, this literary gathering stays true to its promise of being a book experience and not just a book fair!
