The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Netters and Lady Netters booked seats in the finals after taking down the Mapúa University (MU) Red Cardinals and the University of Perpetual Help System-DALTA (UPHSD) Lady Acers respectively, today, Feb. 23, at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center in Manila.

The semifinals were off to a hot start after an intense battle between Fern Po and Muralla’s Laurenz Quitara. Po kept his composure to drew first blood, 2-0. In the doubles match, Andrew Garcia and Pete Rodriguez faltered against Al Quiza and Joshua Diva, 0-2. However, reigning MVP Marco Macalintal came to the rescue and defeated Daniel Rutines to secure a ticket to the finals, 2-0.

Meanwhile, Claire Miraflor started strong by taking the first set but eventually stumbled to capture the opening advantage in a sour loss versus Perpetual Acers’ Airies Jean Tanawan, 1-2. Kiana De Asis and Keth Mamaba came through for the Lady Netters in a dominant fashion against Kristina Gwen Bandolis and Liminiree Cayalaluad, 2-0. Joy Oligo sealed the victory by sweeping Aira Jane Nuguit in the final match.
