The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Netters and Lady Netters punched their tickets for another championship run after a successful rout against the University of Perpetual Help System-DALTA (UPHSD) Acers and San Sebastian College-Recoletos (SSC-R) Lawn Tennis Team respectively, both 3-0, on Feb. 20, at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center in Manila.

Taft’s siege of Recto commenced with an all-out assault from Czarina Miraflor against SSC-R’s Hilary Sophie Paas, 2-0. Next on the hardcourt were Kiana De Asis and Melody Dizon donning green and white to close the match in straight sets, 2-0. Baste withdrew from the third set and handed Benilde a 3-0 run.

In similar fashion, Marco Macalintal dictated play against Las Piñas’ Sherwin Nuguit and finished the job, 2-0. The Taft squad sent in Andrew Garcia Jr. and Pete Rodriguez against the men in maroon and gold’s Al Balazo and Kurt Bandoliz. The Perpetual Acers attempted a last-minute revival and pushed for a decider but Taft’s tag team proved too much, 2-0. UPHSD handed Benilde a default to complete the match, 3-0.

Catch the Blazing Netters and Lady Netters on Feb. 23 at the same venue as they open the semifinal campaign as the top sees, aiming to secure another championship run.
