The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Blazing Netters and Lady Netters flared past their opponents in the NCAA Season 101 Lawn Tennis Tournament on Feb. 11 at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center in Malate, Manila.

The Lady Netters were first on the hardcourt as they clashed head-on against the San Beda University (SBU) Red Netters. Donning green and white, Joy Oligo sliced through the plays of San Beda’s Angela Valdez to claim the first set of the match, 2-0. Lady Netters’ Team Captain Kiana De Asis and Melody Dizon rode the momentum against the Red Netters’ Shyryn Salazar and Sharmaine Esteves to deliver another sweep to conclude the doubles match, 2-0.

Czarina Miraflor delivered the cherry on top as she replicated the outing of her teammates, outdueling Mendiola’s Julia Valdez with another sweep, 2-0. The Taft squad delivered another clean sweep to defend their two-peat thrones.

The Blazing Netters replicated the winning ways of their counterparts as they clashed against the Colegio de San Juan de Letran (CSJL) Lawn Tennis Team. Reigning MVP Marco Macalintal made quick work of Muralla’s Zarc Denopol, 2-0. Andrew Garcia Jr. and Fern Po defended Taft’s honor as they escaped the Knights’ grip with Paul Singcol and MJ Banglos leading the charge to their dismay, 2-0.

Pete Rodriguez duplicated the Blazing Netters’ display of dominance on the hardcourt as he jousted against JR Carrasco, 2-0. The clean sweep brought the men in green and white closer to another defense of their three-peat crowns.

The Benilde Blazing Netters are set to face the Mapua University (MU) Cardinals tennis team, while the Lady Netters will clash against the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Women Lawn Tennis Team on Feb. 13.

Catch both teams at the same venue for the NCAA Season 101 Lawn Tennis Tournament until Feb. 27.
