The Benildean Press Corps (BPC), under the Student Publications Unit (SPU), is set to receive accolades for its three winning entries at the 2026 Gold Quill Awards, to be conferred during the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) World Conference 2026, from June 14 to 16 in Toronto, Canada.

Among the 19 winning entries from the Philippines, only De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) was the higher education institution. In the past three editions of the Philippine Student Quill Awards, DLS-CSB was hailed as School of the Year.

The IABC Gold Quill Awards has recognized excellence in strategic communication for more than 50 years on a global scale, honoring the commitment, creativity, and passion of communicators all over the world.

Among the winners, BPC garnered its three wins in two categories. Under Category 27: Publications, Horizons: Remnants, the official art and design folio of DLS-CSB students for Academic Year 2025-2026, secured an Award of Merit. This folio is represented by the Benildean Press Corps’ former Art and Design Editor, Gilbert Escorial, and current Layout Editor Hiro Odamaki. Both Escorial and Odamaki are AB-Multimedia Arts (MMA) students.

In another category, two articles from The Benildean: Impulse, the official student magazine-journal of DLS-CSB for Academic Year 2023-2024, both received an Award of Merit under Category 28: Writing. “Ghost(ing) Hunt: In Search of an Emotionally Distant Generation” by Caly Bautista received this distinction alongside Maxine Cheung’s “The Politics of Nepotism: How "Nepo Babies" Rule the Philippines.” Bautista is an MMA graduate and a former literary staffer, while Cheung, a graduating BS-Architecture student, previously served as BPC’s Associate Editor for Digital Media.

This is the first recognition awarded to Horizon: Remnants. Meanwhile, the winning articles have previously been given Awards of Excellence in the 11th edition of the Philippine Student Quill Awards in 2025.

The Gold Quill Awards, recognized as the field’s premier honor, annually draws numerous high-caliber entries from across the international industry. This year's winners, chosen from hundreds of worldwide entries across 30 categories, embody excellence in strategic communications.

Since 1970, IABC has upheld a standard of excellence as a leading global association of communication professionals. The theme for the World Conference 2026 centers on the evolving role of communicators to transform amid constant global change.
