Showcasing that design serves a purpose, the Interior Design (BS-ID) program prepares for the culmination of their fifth Benilde Interior Design Exhibit (INTDXHI) titled “SIGLA: May Kislap sa Sigla ng Pag-asa,” on April 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. In collaboration with Bahay Pag-asa Dasmariñas, a residential care facility for children and youth, located in De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), the exhibit aims to create a space that promotes physical and mental well-being to its residents. 

The INTDXHI franchise—APOH, DAONG, LIWAGA, and ALIWAY—follows a common theme that centers around service learning, projects that are continuous and intentional, with the goal of positively affecting various communities in the Philippines. Through partnerships, the BS-ID graduating batches are able to reach and help localities through their pieces.

Bahay Pag-asa Dasmariñas is a transformation center for Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL)—a place that fosters a reformative environment where individuals undergo change. Boys between the ages of 15 to 18 are taught in a 27-hectare campus of DLSU-D, providing them with proper education, carpentry workshops, and more. 

SIGLA’s goal is to transform the center by redesigning the baking studio and multipurpose room to create a better learning environment.
