Two vehicles involving a Honda CR-V and Hyundai Starex figured in an accident along the corner of Taft Avenue and Pablo Ocampo St. past 6:00 p.m., which caused moderate traffic in the said area, October 28.
According to Mr. Norberto Mongaya, driver of the CR-V, his car was following an armored vehicle at the outermost lane of Taft Avenue, southbound, while the Starex was inching along the middle lane. They were both turning right on the corner of P. Ocampo St. when the two collided.
“Talagang nakahinto na ako, eh, [pero] tinuloy niya pa [rin ang pagliko],” Mongoya said. “I was on full stop, but the driver of Starex continued turning right.”
On the other hand, Mr. Ronnie Raymundo, the passenger of the Starex, claimed that they followed the armored car after it passed through, but the CR-V continued entering the right lane of Pablo Ocampo St.
“Nagbigay na kami, [pero] hindi siya nagbigay,” said the driver of Starex.
In an interview of the tricycle drivers in the vicinity, they mentioned that they were shocked when the incident occurred, especially when it was only yesterday that two other cars collided in the same corner.
Traffic officials are notified with the incident and the investigation still continues.
