The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Blazers and Lady Blazers bagged individual awards in the NCAA Season 94 Volleyball tournament.

Mens’ Division:
Rookie of the Year: Ruvince Abrot – DLS-CSB
2nd Best Middle Blocker: Francis Basilan – DLS-CSB
Best Setter: Kevin Magsino – DLS-CSB
Most Valuable Player of the Season: Joebert Almodiel – University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD)
1st Best Outside Spiker: Joebert Almodiel – UPHSD
2nd Best Outside Spiker: Joshua Mina – Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC)
1st Best Middle Blocker: Ronniel Rosales – UPHSD
Best Libero: Earl Joshua Magadan – EAC
Best Opposite Spiker: Jesrael Libereto – Arellano University (AU)
Women’s Division:
1st best middle blocker: Rachel Anne Austero – DLS-CSB
Most Valuable Player of the Season: Necole Ebuen – AU
Rookie of the Year: Lynne Robyn Matias – San Beda University (SBU)
1st Best Outside Spiker: Cindy Imbo – UPHSD
2nd Best Outside Spiker: Aurea Francesca Racraquin – SBU
2nd Best Middle Blocker: Bien Elaine Juanillo – Lyceum of the Philippines University
Best Libero: Daryl Sigrid Racraquin – SBU
Best Setter: Lynne Robyn Matias – SBU
Best Opposite Spiker: Necole Ebuen – AU
In an interview with The Benildeans, Blazer stalwart Ruvince Abrot said, “Happy ako dahil binigyan ako ng award. Pero hindi naman ‘yun goal ko eh, ang goal is mabalik [ang] championship crown. Bonus na lang sa [akin] ‘yung individual award.”
The Benilde Blazers are currently down 0-1 in a best-of-three finals series versus University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) Altas. They will be facing the Altas in game two of the finals on Friday, February 8, at the same venue.
Meanwhile, the Lady Blazers settled for third place as the UPHSD Lady Altas overpowered their twice-to-beat advantage.
