With patience, diligence, and perseverance, 38-year old Emman Ricalde, or Kuya Mandy to most Benildeans, has strived to graduate by working as a full-time janitor and a scholar at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB). And now his story will be featured in the drama anthology series Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK).

From the mundane work of sweeping or mopping floors during the day to studying at night, Kuya Mandy has reached his goal of finishing college with a degree of BSBA major in Business Management under the Benilde Career Development Program.

Now serving as an inspiration to others, witness how a husband and a father of two children has conquered different challenges in his life.

Directed by Carlo Artillaga, Kuya Mandy’s story will be featured on MMK tomorrow, March 2, at 8:30 p.m. starring actors Joem Bascon, who will play the titular role, and Denise Laurel.
