Beyond Benilde, a homecoming and alumni gathering spearheaded by the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Alumni Association, gathered Benildeans, old and new, to celebrate and reconnect with college friends, professors, mentors, and colleagues last night, March 23, at The Island at The Palace, Bonifacio Global City.
The College’s own Benilde Pep Squad performed for the crowd and hailed the Benildean-Lasallian Hymn before the party started.
As the festivities started, DJs Kuta Kutsuma, Martin Pulgar, Dara Carmina, and Roda King, with special guest performer The Voice of the Philippines Season first runner-up Klarisse De Guzman, lit up the night.
Some Benildean celebrities were spotted as well, such as GMA’s hit series “My Special Tatay” leading lady “Aubrey” and Digital filmmaking student Rita Daniela, together with his leading man Ken Chan, and comedienne “Yaya Dub” Maine Mendoza, who graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts from the School of Hotel and Restaurant Institution Management. Mendoza was accompanied by her boyfriend “Ang Probinsyano” actor Arjo Atayde.
In an interview with The Benildean, Berwyn Coming, Benilde alumnus and member of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Alumni Association, disclosed that they were only expecting 1,000 people to attend but the number of guests exceeded their expectations.
