Benilde assures “full compliance with due process of law” in alleged sexual harassment case vs Pep Squad Head Coach


DLS-CSB released a statement regarding the arrest of the College’s Pep Squad head coach due to alleged sexual harassment on a student-athlete.

In light of the arrest of Benilde Pep Squad’s Head Coach for molestation allegations filed by a Benildean athlete, the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde issued a statement yesterday, Feb. 26, disclosing that a prior complaint through the College’s official offices was filed. With this, Benilde reiterates that the case will be addressed in conformity with due process of the law.


According to the statement released, the two arranged a private meeting when the arrest occurred. The case is currently under investigation by certain offices of Benilde and is being handled “with utmost diligence in full compliance with the due process of the law with due regards to the right of all the parties concerned and appropriate actions will be undertaken based on substantial evidence gathered.”


Furthermore, they have also stated that with “the nature of the complaint filed, it will be premature to make a concrete statement since we are bound to maintain confidentiality of its details until investigation is completed.”


“Nonetheless, we assure the community that the College of Saint Benilde will fulfill its role as an educational institution,” the statement concluded.
