De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Blazer Diana Nicole Supangan bagged second place in NCAA Season 96’s Women’s Taekwondo Poomsae Standard earlier today, June 15, via GMA’s GTV channel.
The Blazers retained the pole position in Women’s Poomsae Standard as Diana Supangan earned a high score of 7.284 after two clean performances. Unfortunately, Benilde fell short to 16-year old Emie Fernandez of Jose Rizal University who earned a score of 7.550, the highest overall score in the poomsae seniors division. Lara Andres of San Beda University clinched third place with the final score of 6.867.
Keith Baladya of the San Sebastian College finished fourth with 6.767 points, Stephanie Arana of Colegio de San Juan de Letran with 6.734 points claiming the fifth spot, and Chelsia Bañez of Emilio Aguinaldo College with 6.484 earning the sixth.
Arellano University’s Claire Apuya and Lyceum of the Philippines University’s Marinella de Peralta claimed the seventh and eighth place with 6.234 and 6.117 points respectively.
The Blazers will compete at the Taekwondo Speed-Kicking event starting on Friday, July 18, at 2:45 p.m. on GTV.
