De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CBS) Blazers Justin Carl Dominic Nacua and Krizelle Therese Yadao wrapped up the final Taekwondo event in NCAA 96’s Poomsae freestyle tournament, solidifying their places in the senior men’s and women’s divisions with bronze and gold medals yesterday, June 17, via GMA’s GTV channel.
In the senior women’s division, Blazer Krizelle Therese Yadao placed first with a score of 6.900 followed by Jose Rizal University’s (JRU) Shyenler Emelo Cedo with a score of 6.167.
Blazer Justin Carl Dominic Nacua placed third in the senior men’s division with a score of 5.600. Meanwhile, San Beda University (SBU)’s Michael Christian Macario dominated the category with a score of 7.033 followed by JRU’s Mikko Jeremi Bataoil claiming second place with a score of 6.367.
Overall, the Blazers Taekwondo team secured one gold, two silvers, and one bronze after the three-day poomsae tournament.
The Blazers will compete at the Taekwondo Speed-Kicking event starting on Friday, July 18, at 2:45 p.m. on GTV.
