From over 12 Lasallian publications and 103 outstanding Lasallian journalists nationally, DLS-CSB’s Benildean Press Corps (BPC) and Ad Astra won a total of six awards in the first Lasallian Campus Press Awards (LCPA). The LCPA was launched in the 15th Lasallian Schools Press Conference (LSPCon) on Nov. 30.
Hosted by The Spectrum, University of St. La Salle’s official student media corps, the 15th LSPCon made a milestone as it spearheaded the very first fully online edition via Zoom.
BPC, the official student-journalists’ organization of the College, won first place in Best Editorial and Best Magazine Layout, and second place in Best Literary Folio and Best Magazine categories.
Ad Astra, the sole organization tasked to create the College’s official yearbook, secured third place in Best Magazine Layout and Best Magazine categories.

From the individual outputs and essays of the members of the Editorial Board from A.Y. 2019-2021 within the 12 Lasallian publications, Jessica C. Malabanan, the Editor in Chief of CRESCIT, DLSL’s official Senior High School group of publications, was hailed as the Lasallian Campus Journalist (LaCaJourn) of the Year.
The Lasallian Press Conference is an annual event dedicated to the celebration, improvement, and unification of all Lasallian student publications all over the country.
The 15th LSPCon was hosted by The Spectrum with the theme "Exigency: Press at the Forefront," from Nov. 27 to 30. The baton of hosting for next year’s LPSCon was turned over to De La Salle University-Dasmariñas.
