CLM holds Requiem Mass in remembrance of departed Benildean-Lasallians

"Our departed brothers and sisters are just as precious as their souls. We keep their memories. And souls as they are, they continue to exist in our memories." -Rev. Fr. Marc Bryan Adona, SSS

Benilde Center for Lasallian Ministry (CLM) hosted a Requiem Mass in remembrance of recently departed Benildean-Lasallian associates and students today, Nov. 7, at the Chapel of Resurrection, Taft Campus.

The mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Marc Bryan Adona, SSS. They highlighted the importance of remembering that the reason we pray for the departed even beyond the physical death is that we care for them during his homily.

Since the mass was held a few days after All Souls' Day, Fr. Adona also emphasized that people should also care for their souls as much as they care about their physical bodies as "what God is most interested in receiving at our last moment is a beautiful soul."

As his conclusion to the homily, he ended with, "Let us all aim to create Good memories that will be marked as pleasing to God."

The Requiem Mass today was celebrated specifically for Benildean-Lasallians who have passed this academic year. CLM has posted a list of their names on Facebook for anyone who wishes to pray for the departed.

CLM also regularly holds a daily afternoon Holy Mass at 12:10 p.m. that is open to all people.
