Benilde Blazers’ MVP Will Gozum will join the Strong Group to represent the Philippines in the 32nd Dubai International Basketball Championships set from Jan. 27 to Feb. 5.

The 6-foot-7 forward Will Gozum will seize opportunities to show what he has to offer for the Strong Group in representing the nation this time after leading the Blazers to a runner-up finish in the NCAA Season 98 Men's Basketball Tournament.

Blazers Head Coach Charles Tiu will once more be in charge of the Philippine team, but he notes that despite having Gozum on his Benilde squad, Gozum still needs to prove himself a spot in this league.

“Will will have to compete with the other guys for his minutes. It’s a different ball game, and he’s playing the same position as the imports, but let’s see how he will fare,” Tiu said.

Along with Gozum, recent additions to the roster are Justine Baltazar, Inand Fornillos, and Ateneo senior BJ Andrade. Nick Young, Renaldo Balkman, Angelo Kouame, and Sedrick Barefield are also in the team.
