De La Salle College of Saint-Benilde commenced its 2023 Service Awards, honoring 190 exceptional faculty and associates for their dedication and commitment to the institution. The awards ranged from Permanency awards to recognizing those who have dedicated a remarkable 25 years to the institution.
To officially kick off the awards ceremony, Ms. Chona Rodulfa, the Director of People and Organization Development Office (PODO), warmly welcomed the Benildean faculty and associates. She reflected on the challenges encountered during the pandemic, acknowledged the ongoing and future challenges, and offered words of encouragement to all.
“Continue to push forward and break through by showing what we are capable of. Giving and doing our extra mile to provide service to our students, to our parents, to our stakeholders, and showcasing togetherness through collaboration, open communication and partnerships,” she said.
In closing, she expressed, “To all our awardees, may you continue to inspire us to be exemplar of Saint La Salle and Saint Benilde.”
After the opening speech, the theater came alive with an energetic performance by Saint Benilde Romancon Dance Company.
Benilde Brother President Br. Edmundo Fernandez FSC delivered an inspirational message to the gathered audience, reflecting on the College's remarkable achievements and future aspirations.
"I am happy to say the last two years have seen us bounce back after many years of challenges," Br. Fernandez remarked, highlighting the College's resilience and progress from the pandemic.
“We continue to have an attitude of renewal and improvement as we intensify our efforts towards internal and external quality assurance through PAASCU accreditation and AUN-QA. We have also submitted to CHED our application for renewal for our autonomous status so that the College would continue to offer new degree programs,” he said.
“True to our goal of helping the Benildean students to be real world ready, we are redesigning our curriculum to maximize the potential of AI,” he added.
